Terms of Use

By using HisabWala ("the app") you agree to these terms. The app is a calculator and information utility provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the app.

Not financial advice

Everything in this app — calculators, results, news headlines, market figures, tips and fun messages — is for general information and entertainment only. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and no content should be relied on as a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any product or security. Always verify important numbers with your bank, broker, employer or a qualified professional before making decisions.

Calculations

Calculator results (EMI, SIP, PPF, tax and all others) are estimates based on standard formulas and the inputs you provide. Actual amounts from banks, funds and government schemes can differ due to rounding, fees, taxes, compounding conventions and rate changes. Bundled reference rates may be outdated at any time.

Not a government app — government schemes & official sources

HisabWala is an independent app. It does NOT represent, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by, any government or government entity. Calculators for government schemes and taxes (such as PPF, SSY, NPS, EPF, post office schemes and income tax) provide UNOFFICIAL estimates for general information only, based on publicly available formulas and rates that may be outdated.

News

The News section shows headlines from public Google News feeds. Headlines and stories belong to their publishers; tapping a story opens the publisher's page in your browser. We automatically filter and rank headlines and cannot guarantee completeness, accuracy or availability.

Market data

Index values in the ticker come from publicly available third-party feeds and are DELAYED (typically 15 minutes or more), may be inaccurate or unavailable, and are shown for general awareness only — never for trading decisions. NSE, BSE, and all index names belong to their respective owners; the app is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any exchange.

Privacy — the short version

Your numbers stay on your phone. The app has no account and no login, and we run no analytics of our own. Calculation history, settings and game progress are stored only on your device, are not included in Android cloud backups, and are deleted when you uninstall the app. We do not sell your personal data. The one exception is advertising: the ads partner Google AdMob collects limited device data to show and measure ads (see below).

Privacy — what does leave your device

• Advertising: the app shows one banner ad served by Google AdMob. AdMob collects your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, how you interact with the app (such as launches and taps) and diagnostic information, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, under Google's policies (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). In the EU, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice later in the app's Settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
• News, market and fund data: opening the News tab, the market ticker or Top mutual funds sends a normal internet request (including your IP address) to Google News, Yahoo Finance and mfapi.in respectively.
• Fun messages are written on your phone from a built-in list; the app does not send your numbers to any AI service. If that ever changes we will say so here first.

Permissions: the app asks for no sensitive permission — no location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage. It uses the internet and network-state access, and Google's ad services use the advertising-ID permission.

Children

The app is intended for adults (18+) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Entertainment content

Roasts, quips, easter eggs, stickers, levels and the daily game are jokes and motivation — they are not statements about you, your finances, or real offers of any reward with monetary value.

No warranty & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage — including financial loss — arising from use of, or reliance on, the app or its content.

Third-party services

The app uses: Google AdMob (ads and the consent form), Google News RSS (headlines), Yahoo Finance (index values) and mfapi.in (mutual fund NAVs). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and their services are governed by their own policies.

Changes

These terms and this policy may be updated with app updates; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
